About the Artist

Ridiculous Nicholas Robinette has always been interested in art. His digital collection began with altering photos to look like paint on canvas. He then began enhancing photos that he took and quickly saw the benefits when applied to a sunset or landscape picture. It has since evolved into creating art by mirroring and altering pictures he finds and takes himself.

He first dove into photo alteration in 2009, creating digital paintings from photographs. His true love for the process took flight in October, 2022 and he has since created over 56k images for your visual entertainment.

All of Ridiculous Nicholas's art is created on his phone. A lot of the process can be chalked up to happy accidents, however his enhancements bring to life the way he sees the photo in his mind. The best example is DJ Partypus. He began as a translucent deep-sea octopus. Ridiculous was scrolling through the internet when he found the image. He was staring at the picture for a few minutes when a friend asked what he was looking at. He turned the phone to show a colorful octopus when she told him he was translucent. When he ooked again, the color was gone and he was clear. Within minutes he turned his phone back around and said "Well what about now?"

Ridiculous uses all art (music, drawing, painting, digital art) as a way to quiet the noise in his brain. He is very analytical in his profession and uses that side of his brain for 12 hours a day. If he doesn't then exercise his creative side, he can't quiet the noise and subsequently can't sleep. So digital art is an easy way to release that chaos.

His promise to his customers is this; every print he sells is an exclusive exchange between himself and the customer. It will be the only physical copy made and that customer will be the only one to have it. That being said, if a second copy is made it is because it hangs on his wall. So in that case you have the same picture on your wall as the artist has on his.
